The Role of Nurse/Midwife with a Focus on Andrology

As a nurse/midwife at the Youth Clinic in the GGVV area, you will play a central role in preventive and outreach work, particularly focusing on andrology. You will work independently but collaborate with many colleagues from various fields.

You will network with different organizations in the area and work closely with other actors such as school nurses, counselors, and community stakeholders who engage with youth.

Your work will include:

• Contraceptive counseling and preventive work regarding STIs.
• Individual medical visits and examinations.
• Outreach work by meeting school classes in both middle and high school to provide information about the Youth Clinic's services, for example during theme days. The aim is also to create dialogue in classes about healthy relationships and sexual consent.
• Being responsible for and participating in various events as a representative of the Youth Clinic, which may involve working occasional evenings or weekends.
• Providing information at parent meetings and collaborating with SFI and other stakeholders.
• Collaboration with schools to promote reproductive and mental health among youth.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed nurse or midwife, preferably with experience in andrology or psychiatry. We prefer candidates with prior experience working with youth, as well as sexual health competence. Knowledge of Cosmic and the Office suite is desirable as the position requires digital proficiency. A B driver's license is a requirement, as travel is involved in the role.

The position involves collaboration with other youth clinics within the GGVV area as well as at regional and national levels.

We seek a flexible and creative person who enjoys both independent work and collaboration with others. You should feel confident in your role as a midwife/nurse, able to provide support, information, and treatment in sexual, reproductive, and psychosocial health.
