Cleaner Wanted for Kalmar County Museum

We are now looking for cleaners for the summer at Kalmar County Museum! This is a fantastic opportunity for you who want to be part of an exciting cultural institution and contribute to a pleasant environment for both staff and visitors.

Kalmar County Museum is one of the largest county museums in the country with a vision of "Kalmar County Museum changes lives". The museum receives about 90,000 visitors each year and operates both locally, nationally, and internationally. As a cleaner, you will be part of a team of about 80 employees and contribute to a clean and pleasant environment in the museum's various spaces.

The need is primarily during the summer, weekends between weeks 26-33. In addition, there may be a need during sick leave and during extra busy periods.

Job Responsibilities

• Cleaning of the entire museum, including the restaurant and public areas.
• Cleaning of office spaces, staff areas, restrooms, stairwells, and storage areas according to an established schedule.
• Professionally and pleasantly assist visitors if questions arise.
• Follow strict guidelines for cleaning in the museum's exhibition and staff areas. Certain surfaces and objects must not be touched.
• Collaboration with colleagues – there are always at least two cleaners on site.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• You with another primary occupation, such as studies, a part-time job of 50+%, own business, etc.
• Attention to detail and accuracy are crucial as certain objects and areas must not be touched.
• Social skills and the ability to communicate with staff and visitors as needed.
• Flexibility – ability to handle changing circumstances and step in for other tasks as needed.
• Independence within given frameworks – for example, contact the right person in case of any problems without addressing issues outside of your tasks.
• Proficiency in Swedish in speech and writing to understand safety instructions and communicate with colleagues and visitors.
• A valid driver's license is required as work takes place at multiple locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, preferably in public environments.
• Knowledge of different cleaning methods and material choices for the best results.
• Education and/or certification in INST 800, SRY, or other cleaning training.
