Substitute Librarians for Libraries and School Libraries in Älvdalen and Särna

We are now looking for substitute librarians for the libraries and school libraries in Älvdalen and Särna!

The municipality has an integrated public and school library, two branch libraries, and three separate school libraries.

Älvdalen's library is part of a library collaboration with other municipalities in Dalarna, under the name Dalabiblioteken.

Job Responsibilities

You will work with tasks commonly found in libraries and school libraries, such as serving at the loan desk, shelving books, program activities, and promoting reading. You will also guide visitors in digital services and the technology available at the library, such as loan computers, scanning, copying, and printing.

Who are we looking for?

To thrive in this role, you should easily collaborate with others, take responsibility for your tasks, and adapt to changing circumstances. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others, and you can plan and organize your work. Last but not least, you are creative and bring new ideas to work-related issues.

You have good computer skills and experience in customer service or another service profession.

Since the position involves travel, you must have a valid driver's license (B).

You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, and knowledge of additional languages is preferred.

Evening work and travel are part of the job.
