Summer Substitute as Financial Administrator in Accounts Receivable

The City Executive Office includes the Department of Economy and Governance. The department has about 45 employees led by a finance director and five process managers: accounting, budgeting, governance and coordination, procurement, and finance. Our task is to support the municipal leadership (including the municipal executive board and municipal council) with relevant and adequate decision-making materials within the economic area. The task is also to provide, develop, and manage structures, systems, and processes for economic processes.

Your Responsibilities:

In the role of accounting economist, you will work with standard tasks within accounts receivable, which may include:

• Handling invoice files and invoices
• Import/export of payment files
• Managing overdue invoices
• Collections and reminders
• Setting up registers for accounts receivable and other system administration
• Bookkeeping and control of payment flows and related tasks
• VAT and accounting issues
• Reconciliations and year-end closing work
• Internal control
• Investigations
• Support and assistance
• Ongoing work with improvements

The work involves ongoing contacts both within and outside the municipality's operations.

About You

We are looking for someone with at least a high school education in finance.

We would like you to have experience in financial work, such as working with accounts receivable and central bookkeeping tasks in financial systems, have handled system files related to the process, and have experience in collaborating and supporting operations.

You also need to have good knowledge of Excel and the applications in the Office suite.

Your personal qualities are very important. You are communicative and someone who actively takes initiative. You are meticulous, systematic, and structured, and you have good pedagogical skills. You have a problem-solving approach.

In your upcoming role, it is important that you collaborate well with others and enjoy working in a team. You have the ability to work with colleagues to develop and improve daily work methods and routines. In dialogue with various stakeholders, you are attentive and unpretentious.
