Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiatives and see what needs to be done.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• Wants to work with a man in his 30s living in Malung
• Is a cheerful person who enjoys being active
• Has good physical fitness to assist with transfers
• Tolerates and is comfortable with pets in the home
• Has good knowledge of Swedish
• Has a driver's license

It is also advantageous if you:

• Have experience in personal assistance or similar work
• Have experience/knowledge of epilepsy
• Have experience with tube feeding

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The position is a summer temporary position between weeks 25-32 and is approximately 100%. You will alternate between working day shifts from 07:00 to 22:00 and night shifts from 07:00 to 07:00. Working hours occur both on weekdays and weekends.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations will be according to collective agreements.

Start date

The position starts in week 25, before that you will be offered shadowing.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
