We are looking for 1-2 University Lecturers in Psychology with a focus on Work and Organizational Psychology.

Job Responsibilities
As a university lecturer at MDU, your main responsibilities will be teaching. Teaching includes supervision, examination, course evaluation, and course development. Here, research and education are closely intertwined, and research forms the basis for our education. Collaboration is also an integral part of our research and educational mission, and as a university lecturer, you will actively contribute to the university's development work. Your responsibilities will also include general administration and professional development, as well as participating in the daily operations, in the subject's and academy's work.
Teaching occurs at both undergraduate and advanced levels and may include doctoral education. Teaching tasks are performed in collaboration with colleagues in independent courses as well as within various educational programs, primarily in the behavioral sciences. There are opportunities to contribute to the development of commissioned education and courses at the advanced level.
In research and teaching work, you will continuously follow and develop the quality of internal and external collaboration, with colleagues at MDU as well as external partners. Research and teaching work in these lectureships should contribute to sustainable development, primarily within working life, for individuals, organizations, and society.
In research tasks, you will contribute to interdisciplinary research in work life science in collaboration with colleagues, providing work and organizational psychological perspectives and interventions. This occurs, for example, in internal as well as external grant applications, which are the primary means of creating research space.
Eligibility Requirements
We are looking for someone who has demonstrated pedagogical skill and has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence.
The scientific and pedagogical skills must be documented in such a way that the quality of previous work can be assessed.
To be employed as a teacher at MDU, higher education pedagogical training or equivalent knowledge is required. Those who are employed but lack higher education pedagogical training will be offered to undergo such training within two and a half years of employment. The higher education pedagogical training at Mälardalen University corresponds to ten weeks of training.
For this position, the following eligibility requirements apply, in addition to those established in the Employment Regulations at MDU:
- PhD in psychology or a dissertation based on psychological theory and methodology.
- Good oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English at the level required to perform regular tasks in research, teaching, and administration.
Assessment Criteria
The assessment criteria will include the degree of skill required for the position, as well as the ability and suitability needed to perform the tasks well.
In addition to the assessment criteria established in the Employment Regulations at MDU, particular emphasis will be placed on the following for this position:
- Documented research and teaching experience in work and organizational psychology.
- Documented experience of conducting research and education in collaboration.
- Experience working with challenge-driven research and education that contributes to sustainable societal development, particularly in working life.
- Actively worked to connect higher education with practice.
- Documented experience in supervising theses at both undergraduate and advanced levels.
In a comprehensive assessment of suitability, personal abilities will also be considered. All employees at MDU are expected to collaborate and treat colleagues and students with respect, take responsibility for the operations and their own tasks, and contribute to a good working environment.
