The Workplace

Count on knowledge and joy in the principal area of Urban West. The principal area of Urban West consists of Sjövik School F-9, Kattebäck School F-6, Sjövik School's adapted primary school, Flaningen and Klämman preschools, and the resource school Värnet 4-9.

Job Responsibilities

Clear goals, high expectations, and joy in work are self-evident starting points for us. As a teacher, you will teach art in grades 5-9. We see that you work well in collaboration with students and colleagues. You are independent, initiative-taking, and goal-oriented. You see collegial learning as a prerequisite for student development and look forward to working together in a team. Together, we work towards common goals with a focus on the students. We have close cooperation with our health team and other staff at the school.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the educational work based on the school's governing documents and the student's needs. You create good collaboration with guardians and actively participate in the development work at the school.

With us, you are expected to develop your own and especially the students' digital competence in daily life. Since both you and the students have computers/chromebooks, and there is a projector in every classroom, there are opportunities to use modern pedagogy where technology supports students' learning.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach art and possibly sewing in grades 5-9. We highly value your ability to interest, enthuse, and engage, as well as your flexibility. We prefer that you are accustomed to using digital tools.

As a person, you find it easy to build relationships, and for you, it is a given to have a functioning conversation with students and colleagues. You are independent, initiative-taking, and goal-oriented. We place great importance on personal suitability.
