Description

Äsperödsskolan is a F-6 school with about 350 students.

It is located in eastern Uddevalla close to forests and land where we have our own school forest. The staff working here are highly qualified, engaged, and eager to develop. We are characterized by an organization with one class in each age group where we work in teams with several professions.

We have school-wide project work and all classes have outdoor lessons at least once a week. This contributes to community and security that promotes higher goal achievement. Our developed safety work has a strong focus on break activities and well-being with many present adults.

Responsibilities

You will be a teacher in a grade with mentorship and share the group with other teacher colleagues. The assignment includes teaching based on applicable governing documents. You will be part of a work team and develop the school's activities together with us through collegial meetings.

You will have the responsibilities that fall to teachers with mentorship, participate in work team meetings, pedagogical meetings, student health meetings, project work, etc.

Requirements

Teaching degree. The good collaboration between colleagues, guardians, and students is important to us as we work a lot across subjects and age boundaries in our teaching. We want you to be a good leader in the classroom with clarity in communication, goals, and results. You possess qualities that include both structure, flexibility, and creativity.

You are well acquainted with the governing documents of compulsory school and work with formative assessment as a natural part of teaching. ICT is something that is a natural part of our teaching, so it is a great plus if that knowledge exists and an interest in learning. You should, of course, have an interest in developing the school into a positive place for everyone.

For positions where a teaching license/diploma/study certificate is required, this must be submitted before employment.

Employment is subject to the necessary decisions being made. For positions where the work involves direct and regular contact with children and young people, as well as for activities within LSS, care and nursing, health care, psychiatric care, and addiction treatment, a valid extract from the police criminal record must be presented or submitted before employment. Please note that it may take time to obtain the extract, so order it in good time to avoid delaying the recruitment process.
