Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Combustion System Calibration Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What You Will Work On
- Ensure customer expectations for quality and fuel consumption are met while complying with emission legislation
- Select engine hardware components and calibrate engine-related functions
- Develop advanced control strategies and optimize hardware for upcoming emission regulations
- Collaborate closely with software development and design teams in an agile environment
- Work in an engine laboratory, conduct virtual testing, perform simulations, analyze data, and participate in creative meetings
- Conduct vehicle testing, following calibrations from draft to test cell verification and on-road validation
- Participate in expeditions in various climates for real-world performance assessments
- Plan and execute activities in sprints, delivering solutions collaboratively in an open and supportive team environment
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, particularly in virtual calibration tools and methodologies
What You Bring
- At least five years of experience in combustion engine development, including three years in engine calibration
- Strong expertise in combustion engine modeling and optimization
- Proven experience leading technical tasks and driving development efforts
- Familiarity with virtual calibration tools, numerical modeling, and physical testing methods
- A results-driven mindset with a proactive approach to improving work methods
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills in a diverse and global environment
- Adaptability to an agile work setting, with the ability to plan and deliver in sprints
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for innovation in combustion system development
