Training Officer for Staff and Logistics Platoon

We are now looking for a Training Officer for the Staff and Logistics Platoon at Västernorrland Regiment with Jämtland Field Ranger Corps, I 21.

The Position Offers

About the Unit

The Basic Training Battalion Ångermanland Infantry Battalion (Infbat) at I 21 in Sollefteå trains conscripts for several different combat units. The battalion was established in 2024 and is conducting its first training year with around 100 conscripts. Before the intake in 2025, the number of conscripts will nearly double, and the battalion will establish its second Basic Training Company, the Functional Company alongside the existing Norrland Shooting Company. The Staff and Logistics Platoon has been trained since the training year 24/25 and will continue to be trained every training year.

Main Responsibilities

You will be the training officer for the Staff and Logistics Platoon at Ångermanland Infantry Battalion in Sollefteå. You will conduct training for the platoon's conscripts together with the other professional officers in the platoon and company. The platoon trains 25-35 conscripts annually. You have the opportunity to lead as a platoon commander or in company management or in another position within the logistics function.

As an instructor, you can also participate in the development of future Norrland infantry units by being part of certain trial activities regarding the logistics function in the battalions.

Requirements

• Professional officer OF1/OR6
• Previous experience working within the Armed Forces
• Driver's license B

Employment form: Permanent employment as a professional officer. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not already employed by the authority.

Employment rate: Full-time
Working hours: Flexible working hours within certain frameworks apply. The position involves travel and training at other locations, and participation in exercises may also result in absence and work being conducted outside regular working hours.
Individual salary applies in the Armed Forces.

In 2022, Västernorrland Regiment with Jämtland Field Ranger Corps, I 21 was re-established. A new regiment with centuries-old traditions in Västernorrland and Jämtland. With us, you have the opportunity to be part of something unique, the re-establishment of a regiment in Lower Norrland.

I 21 currently operates in Sollefteå, Östersund, and Härnösand and is responsible for the Lower Norrland Garrison.
