Are you a qualified leisure teacher with an interest in outdoor life and outdoor education? Then you could be a future colleague of ours at Mårtensberg School.

We are looking for a leisure teacher to start at the beginning of the autumn term. You will collaborate in a class F-3. The position is a 100% permanent position starting on August 15.

About us:

Mårtensberg School is a smaller school with 87 students from F-3. All students are enrolled in the leisure center. We also have a preschool, Mullebo, with a total of 55 children. We are located in a residential area in Vendelsö with a beautiful lot right next to the forest.

With us, your task will be to be a teacher for our leisure center. Together with other colleagues in the work team, you will organize a meaningful leisure time that stimulates students based on the curriculum. The assignment also includes school collaboration where you will support students together with teachers. You have the ability to lead student groups and can create engagement and participation. Collaboration between educators and guardians is an important part of the work. Your task includes planning, implementing, and evaluating your work in the leisure activities.

We are looking for someone who:

Wants to work with outdoor education and outdoor life. You are well-versed in the leisure center's governing documents and have experience connecting the curriculum's goals to leisure activities, as well as planning and evaluating these to develop the operations. We are currently building our playhouse and are about to renovate the schoolyard.

Is a person who has clear and secure leadership, easily creates relationships, and collaborates with others. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way. You engage others, are creative, playful, and can create routines where students are involved and can influence.

You are a professional educator who has high expectations and a belief that all students can succeed based on their conditions. You find strengths and see opportunities instead of difficulties.

Friluftsfrämjandet I Ur och Skur Utveckling is the principal for the preschool/school and they have nine other preschools/schools in their organization, as well as about 200 licensed preschools. The head office is located in Stockholm.

Friluftsfrämjandet, which is a non-profit national organization without profit interests with 130 years of experience in outdoor life, owns the company. 40 years ago, the first I Ur och Skur preschool was started, and the pedagogy has developed since then.
