En väg in (Evi) is a unit within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Bup) that started in 2013, initially located at various Bup clinics in Skåne, but has since 2016 been a regional operation. We are a receiving function located in a contact center (open office) and take calls from young people, guardians, and healthcare neighbors who have questions about mental health issues. Today, we have 29 employees on site, including a unit manager, a secretary, an administrator, social workers, and nurses. As we were the first in the country to offer this type of service, we are constantly working on development to provide the best possible help to those who call in. Our area also includes the First Line of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a nursing colleague to our team who wants to cover for a colleague who is on long-term sick leave. The position is therefore a one-year temporary contract from the start date, with a possibility of extension.

The tasks are varied, and you will have the opportunity to work in a competent team with extensive experience. As a nurse, you will primarily work over the phone providing advice and support, assessing mental health issues, and triaging to Bup or the First Line, as well as referring to other agencies. We also assess and triage all external referrals made to Bup in Skåne. We offer young people the opportunity to chat anonymously with us at Evi, where only general advice can be given. There is also a simplified digital contact route (Ung bupkontakt) for young people at Evi that you, as a nurse and social worker, have the opportunity to work with. Our unit actively works with process management, striving to find the best and most efficient flows to provide as many children and adolescents as possible with the right help at the right time at the right level of care.

With us, you will be offered a wide range of internal training within the administration and the area of operations, such as paid specialist training in psychiatry or pediatrics. Alongside triage work, each employee has side assignments that are part of our care development and routine work. This way, you as an employee have significant influence in the care development work. As a newcomer, you will be offered a 14-day introduction and a mentor. There are clear job descriptions to follow, digital information support to read up on, and substantial collegial support available. This is one of our strengths that makes it easy to thrive in the workplace. We also have a flexible working method, where remote work is currently possible one to three days a week.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. We consider it an advantage if you have specialist training in psychiatry or pediatrics, but it is not a requirement. If you have experience from child psychiatry, adult psychiatry, school health services, or similar experience with children/adolescents/parents, this is also meritorious. We see it as an advantage if you have experience working with the Melior journal system.
