In Bollnäs, there is a small, pleasant, and family-oriented hospital where collaboration between different operations is the key to success. The specialist care in Bollnäs provides specialist care and rehabilitation in several wards and clinics at Bollnäs Hospital and at a clinic in Söderhamn. The unit has a wide range of experience represented by physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, speech therapists, rehabilitation assistants, and care coordinators. The entire unit consists of 21 employees, six of whom are occupational therapists.
We are now looking for three occupational therapists, one of whom will focus on hand rehabilitation, who want to become part of our wonderful team!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an occupational therapist with us, you will have the opportunity to work in various areas of specialist care such as the neuro team, external stroke team, and wards. We offer a workplace with a very good work climate where teamwork and person-centered care are in focus. Collaboration between professional categories is a given with us.
As an occupational therapist with us, you will, among other things:
- conduct occupational therapy assessments and treatments
- perform home visits while working in the external stroke team
- work with patient education
- work according to national care pathways
- participate in regional meetings based on specialist areas.
As an occupational therapist focusing on hand rehabilitation, you will also:
- assess and rehabilitate patients with hand and wrist injuries
- fabricate orthoses according to treatment routines for relevant conditions.
Part of the role as an occupational therapist focusing on hand rehabilitation is also directed towards the assessment and treatment of patients with various rheumatic diseases, where you as an occupational therapist are part of the rheumatology team.

QUALIFICATIONS
To thrive in this role, you need to have good collaboration skills and be attentive and communicative. You are driven to inspire and motivate patients in health-promoting work where the patient is always your main focus and can plan and organize work to fit the rest of the operation. You also maintain calm in challenging situations and can focus on the right things. Furthermore, you can quickly shift focus and adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities to change and develop the operation.
In the role of occupational therapist, you must:
- be a licensed occupational therapist.
If you have previous experience working in specialist care and/or in hand rehabilitation, this is an advantage.
