Temporary Care Assistants Wanted at Kalkstensgatan 5

Do you want to contribute to ensuring that our elderly receive good care and a meaningful everyday life? We are currently looking for two temporary care assistants for Kalkstensgatan 5!

Who are we?

Kalkstensgatan 5 is located in central Vilbergen and consists of 54 apartments spread over three floors. One of the floors is dedicated to individuals with dementia, while the other two are general.

At Kalkstensgatan, we work to ensure that life feels meaningful and safe for the residents, regardless of their functional variations or illnesses. You will be part of a team and, together with licensed staff, contribute your knowledge and experience. Through the various professionals' competencies, we work to meet the individual needs for support, care, and nursing.

Your Responsibilities

Your role includes creating conditions so that the resident experiences a meaningful existence. It is important to provide opportunities for meaningful activities based on ability and interest. You provide support and clarify communication as needed to ensure the individual's voice is heard.

You will provide personal care, which may include assistance with hygiene, dressing, and medication management. You will also perform health and medical tasks as instructed by nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, such as medication management and training.

As a care assistant with us, you play a significant role in creating safety and quality of life for our users. You provide individualized and professional care, addressing and meeting physical, psychological, and social needs.

You will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues and other professionals, where we together create high-quality care and support. Documentation is a natural part of your work to ensure good continuity and quality.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant with experience and knowledge about elderly individuals needing support and assistance in their daily lives. Experience and knowledge of dementia and a low-arousal approach are advantageous.

A prerequisite is that you have a genuine interest in working with the elderly, where you are attentive and empathetic in your interactions and have the ability to adapt your communication based on whom you are meeting.

You have a positive attitude and enjoy collaborating with others, while also being able to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks.

In your work, you need to maintain calm in stressful situations. You are flexible and have the ability to prioritize tasks based on needs.

You communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and have good computer skills.
