Maintenance Engineer BAS-Maintenance Road - Region North

Grow Quality AB is looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer BAS-Maintenance Road for a consulting assignment in Region North. You can join us either as a subcontractor or as an employee of Grow Quality AB. Please note that this is a consulting position and not a direct recruitment for our client.

About the Assignment

The assignment involves working as a resource consultant within BAS-maintenance road for the Road Middle section in Region North. In this role, you will support project management, follow up on contractors, and ensure that the work complies with applicable requirements and standards. If necessary, support can be provided to other operational areas and projects within the region.

Responsibilities

• Support project management in management matters and technical road issues.
• Follow up and ensure delivery quality within BAS-maintenance road.
• Conduct site visits, inspect work areas, and check signage.
• Follow up on the contractor's documentation and quality work.
• Review and approve invoice documentation.
• Perform final inspections and prepare annual inspections.
• Participate in consultations with local authorities and organizations.
• Follow up on delivery quality by monitoring the contractor's quality plan, control program, and self-monitoring. Check the contractor's verifications.
• Establish and follow up on a self-monitoring plan based on contract documents against the contractor.
• Check and ensure that the contractor provides the documentation required in the contract and that it meets the specified requirements in both content and form.
• Conduct inspections of the work area and document these.
• Follow up on the contractor's diary at least once a week and keep a diary of your own work.
• Conduct spot checks on the contractor's measurements and quantity calculations. Preparation, implementation, and documentation of various forms of additional orders to the BAS contract. Prepare decision-making materials for quantity and cost adjustments specified in the contract and prepare decision-making materials for changes etc.
• Review and approve verifications as the basis for the contractor's invoicing. Conduct final inspections of ordered measures.

Requirements Profile

• Technical education at the high school level or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience as a maintenance engineer, construction manager, or site manager in road maintenance.
• Experience with at least 2 reference assignments in road maintenance and coordination.
• Good knowledge of AMA, contract law, and winter road maintenance.
• BAS-P and BAS-U training.
• Driving license B.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Competence in TDOK 2018:0371 APV (steps 2.1, 2.2, 2.3).

Meritorious

• Experience with IT-based management systems such as GPD, MIP, SPVA, and VViS.

Assignment Details

• Stationing location: Skellefteå, with a requirement for physical presence 1 day/week.
• Start: By agreement, no later than 2025-07-07.
