JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you a certified teacher in wood and metal crafts who wants to work at a school in southwestern Gothenburg? Then you might be the one we are looking for at the Frejaskolan high school!
We have four craft classrooms, two of which are for high school. You will be responsible for your classroom and, together with colleagues, manage the purchase of materials and consumables. In collaboration with your colleagues, you will be responsible for planning and implementing the pedagogical work as well as documenting it. You will design the pedagogical activities so that each student's unique conditions and abilities are utilized and challenged. You will belong to a common work team. The position also includes mentorship.
At Frejaskolan, experienced teachers work, and the goal of the operation is to provide all students with good knowledge and skills in a safe and stimulating environment. Collegial learning is the focus of our operation, and we are used to helping and supporting each other. We have regular subject conferences where we discuss teaching and assessment in groups. You should have an interest and commitment to this so that you actively contribute to school development work.
Frejaskolan is a primary school (grades F-9) and adapted primary school (grades 1-9) with an associated after-school care. The school is beautifully located in Västra Frölunda, close to both nature and the sea. Frejaskolan has a cultural profile and a focus on language development work. We have a large beautiful library and a librarian who conducts activities aimed at both school and after-school care. The school also has a large student health team that can provide support and assistance if needed.
The school's location makes it easy to reach other parts of the city conveniently by public transport.
QUALIFICATIONS
Formal requirements:
We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher with the authority to teach crafts for grades 7-9. To ensure that you, as a newly graduated teacher, get the best possible start in your career, you will be part of the primary school administration's Teacher Academy introduction for newly graduated teachers. The introduction provides you as a newly graduated teacher with a network of other newly graduated teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.
Experience working interdisciplinary and experience working in a socioeconomically disadvantaged area is an advantage.
Personal competencies:
To thrive with us, you need to be responsible, have a good attitude based on everyone's equal value, dare to set boundaries, and be flexible. The school's motto is "For each other - together," and we want this to apply to both students and staff.
Warm welcome to submit your application today!
