Your Role

The underwater domain is an environment that poses unique demands on the design of the products intended to operate within it. Such products are expected to operate silently in a dark, cold abyss, in an oxygen-deprived environment with surrounding pressures many times greater than those found above the surface. Many communication and navigation systems we rely on above the surface cannot be used below it. As a designer with us, it will be your job to ensure that our products function in these challenging conditions.

Your primary task as a mechanical designer with us will be to design mechanical systems in the projects related to the department. By collaborating across interfaces with other functions such as purchasing, production, testing, and various subcontractors, you make it possible.

We mostly work in teams. Each team member is an important cog that has great freedom to take responsibility and drive their part of the task. Of course, there are always team members, colleagues, and others to support.

The software used for CAD is Catia V6(3DExperience) or Solid Edge.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others but also likes to take a lot of personal responsibility and independently drive their tasks. We believe you have a genuine interest in technology and find it enjoyable to help where needed (e.g., prototype building or testing).

Desired Qualifications:

• Education as a university or civil engineer with a focus on mechanical engineering or similar
• Several years of work experience
• Knowledge of a CAD tool
• Communicates well in both spoken and written form, in Swedish as well as English
• Driver's license B
