Vocational Teacher for Florist Education at Universitetsholmens Gymnasium

Job Responsibilities

As a vocational teacher, you work to ensure that students develop their full potential – both academically and socially. You support, motivate, and stimulate each student to meet the knowledge requirements based on their individual circumstances, preparing them for their future professional roles. Your work includes planning, teaching, assessment, as well as evaluation and development of the educational activities, in accordance with the school's governing documents.

Together with colleagues, you work to create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff. You also contribute to the quality and development work at the school.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Vocational teacher education with qualifications to teach in core courses of the florist education or a relevant university degree (minimum 180 credits) as assessed by the employer
• Several years of professional experience in the relevant industry and very good subject knowledge
• Experience using digital tools for communication and pedagogy
• Very good Swedish in both spoken and written form

Desirable:

• Qualifications to teach in other subjects
• Experience in teaching or educational work
• Experience in mentorship or other work with apprentices
• Experience in apprenticeship education

We are looking for someone who is confident in the role of vocational teacher and creates good conditions for students' learning and development. You adapt teaching to the student's and group's conditions and prior knowledge through a creative approach and very good pedagogical skills. Your working style is characterized by good structure, and you prioritize and organize tasks effectively. Additionally, you contribute to good collaborations and communicate openly, clearly, and attentively with your surroundings.

Universitetsholmens Gymnasium has approximately 650 students in the Electrical and Energy, HVAC, and Property programs, as well as apprenticeship education in several upper secondary programs.
