As a business developer at Biotech Fluidics, your mission is to develop and deepen relationships with customers and contribute to enhancing their technical expertise. Your task will be to listen to customers' challenges and needs and then help find tailored solutions. The work involves both matching and modifying existing instruments and solutions to meet customer needs, as well as identifying new product needs for further development. You have an important role in contributing to the company's monitoring of trends in respective markets and sharing that information internally. You will be encouraged to voice your opinions on the design of sales materials and visibility in marketing channels.

Main responsibilities:

  • Present and demonstrate new products, opportunities, and functionalities to customers and business partners.
  • Support customers and colleagues with technical questions and product information.
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with customers and suppliers regarding technical and delivery issues.
  • Plan/participate in trade fairs, both as a visitor and an exhibitor.
  • Contribute to Biotech Fluidics' market monitoring regarding new products and business models, and translate these into benefits for the company.
  • Be involved in the design of marketing materials.
  • Quotation work and follow-up on these.
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with sales representatives in the subsidiaries in the USA and Japan.
  • Participate in the company's development projects.

Who are you?

You have a passion and understanding of making technical equipment work in a practical and efficient way. Since Biotech Fluidics customizes its products, we place great importance on your ability to listen and understand customers' technical challenges to find innovative and suitable solutions. Biotech Fluidics is a smaller company in terms of employees, so it is important that you are responsive and can easily collaborate with others. You are motivated and set high goals that you work systematically to achieve. You will be a key player in the company's development and market monitoring, so it is essential that you are business-minded and customer-focused.

Your qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of work experience in relevant technical sales.
  • Post-secondary education with a scientific focus (chemistry, biology, physics) or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong technical interest and understanding of scientific instruments.
  • You have good system and data skills, especially in Excel. Experience with Visma admin 2000, Lime, Power BI, and lab data systems is an advantage.
  • Willingness and interest to travel for work a few times a year.
  • Communicate fluently in both spoken and written English and have good knowledge of Swedish.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have access to a car.
