Do you want to make a real impact?

Here you contribute to creating security for people and communities. What you do matters.

Your Role

Do you want to help ensure that critical systems at sea function flawlessly? As an Electrical/Telecommunications Service Engineer at Saab Muskö, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced telecommunications systems on maritime platforms. We offer both varied challenges and exciting technical development.

You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of various telecommunications systems, such as radar, sonar, navigation, and fire and combat control systems. The work includes new installations and ongoing maintenance, where you, together with a knowledgeable team, manage complex systems on vessels of varying ages and complexities.

Troubleshooting, repairs, and improvement work are part of your daily tasks to ensure that the systems function optimally. You will also handle preventive maintenance, technical documentation, and administrative tasks, as well as provide technical support when needed. There are great opportunities to develop your technical skills through collaboration with experienced colleagues. We believe that we achieve our goals best as a team, where we collectively solve various challenges and problems.

The position is based in Muskö, but travel both domestically and internationally may occur.

Your Profile

You have a strong interest in electronics and electricity in various applications. You have gained experience through, for example, electronics kits or built your own applications in the field of electronics. We are looking for a versatile individual in electronics, who can understand how a system works and if it doesn't work, you find the solution to the problem! For us, your practical experiences are more important than your formal education.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in technology and electronics who is eager to take initiative to find creative solutions. You work in a structured manner, are meticulous, and have a strong focus on quality. It is important for us that you contribute to a positive work environment and are willing to support both colleagues and other departments to achieve common goals. We highly value your drive, engagement, and ability to collaborate.

To fit the role, we prefer that you have:

  • A completed upper secondary education in electronics, electricity, telecommunications, or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience.
  • Preferably a few years of experience in electronics, electricity, or telecommunications - but we are also interested in those with equivalent experience from related fields or recent graduates ready to develop with us.
  • Practical experience working with troubleshooting complex systems, both at the component and system level is an advantage.
  • Driver's license (B)
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.

What You Will Be Part Of
