We are looking for a strategic solution architect at Max Matthiessen – a key role for those who want to work closely with the business, contribute to clear technical direction, and create future solutions with a focus on sustainability, robustness, and business value. As a solution architect, you will be a central player in this journey, where you can combine strategic work with close collaboration with our development teams.

As a Solution Architect with us, you will work closely with our current Solution Architect to design and communicate a clear vision for our IT landscape. You will play a central role in identifying technical challenges and linking them to our business goals. Your contribution will be crucial in driving cloud transformation and other important IT initiatives.

Our technical platform currently consists of both on-prem solutions and cloud-based components, where Google Cloud Platform (GCP) constitutes a growing and strategically important part. We are in the midst of an ongoing modernization of the architecture, focusing on integrating systems, increasing efficiency, and creating a more scalable whole. There is room for you to influence and further develop – in an environment where there is both the will and the conditions to do it for real. The role includes, among other things:

• Developing and communicating a clear vision for our IT landscape
• Identifying and managing technical challenges in line with business goals
• Leading and driving important IT initiatives related to modernization and cloud transformation
• Contributing in strategic forums and actively strengthening IT's role in the organization

Your background

We are looking for someone with solid experience in solution architecture. You likely have a background as a software developer and have transitioned into an architect role. You have worked for several years as an architect and have gained the ability to work comprehensively and strategically around technology choices, architecture, and system landscapes. You are used to operating in complex environments with many different stakeholders and translating business needs into technical solutions.

To take on the role, you have experience with one of the major cloud platforms, such as GCP, AWS, or Azure. You do not need to have worked specifically in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), but are curious about and look forward to continuing your development on that platform. We believe you have digital transformation initiatives in your background.

You are confident in your skills and have an unpretentious approach. You easily build trust in different parts of the organization and are used to moving in forums with many different stakeholders. You have experience presenting and anchoring your ideas and solutions clearly and pedagogically – and can translate complex technical concepts into something easy to understand.

You have a good ability to see the big picture and plan how we move from the current state to the desired state. At the same time, you are attentive to others' perspectives and are happy to share your knowledge with the development teams. You thrive in a role where you can combine strategic work with operational presence in everyday life – and where you together drive development forward.
