We at Attendo are looking for a nursing assistant for our elderly care home Nissastrand, beautifully located in Halmstad, just a stone's throw from Nissan and close to the city center. The facility has 72 apartments, of which 30 are intended for people with dementia diagnoses.

About the role

As a nursing assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and stimulating environment for our customers. You are responsible for providing good care and support to our customers. Creating a positive and social atmosphere during meals is a big part of your role, as well as being able to contribute with various activities that brighten the everyday life of our elderly.

We are looking for someone who is driven by working with people and making a real difference for customers every day. You have the ability to empower and support customers in all aspects of daily life.

As a person, you are meticulous and engaged with customers and their relatives. You find it easy to collaborate, have a pedagogical approach, and contribute to a good and pleasant atmosphere in our workplace.

Job description

After long and faithful service, a colleague is now retiring, and we need a new nursing assistant for our team. Position: 75-89% awake night shifts. The position starts with a 6-month probationary period with the intention of permanent employment after 6 months.

It is a requirement that you have previously worked in elderly care and that you can be fully delegated (insulin, tube feeding, dialysis, etc.). It is an advantage if you have previously worked night shifts.

We are looking for someone with nursing assistant education and experience in care work.

• Nursing assistant education of at least 1350 points.
• Professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate from current/former employer regarding permanent employment as a nursing assistant.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language (spoken and written).
• Good computer skills/computer familiarity.

You enjoy providing good service, building great relationships, and want to give quality of life to our customers. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about elderly care and can see the individual's needs. Having a leadership role is stimulating, and you enjoy mentoring your colleagues in health and medical care issues.
