About the job

As a nurse at the Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic, you will work in an open and positive environment. You will collaborate closely with other professionals regarding the children and their families. Your tasks will be varied, and you will encounter a wide range of diagnoses as we care for children from many different clinics. We have regular professional development opportunities, including lectures and digital training.

Who are we?

The Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic in Halland is a regional clinic for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age. Inpatient care is provided on Ward 62 and Ward 63. The wards collaborate closely, and staff work on both wards. We place great value on engaging children and adolescents in their care. Among other things, we have a youth advisory board (https://www.regionhalland.se/halsa-och-vard/kvalitet-och-utveckling/patientrad-for-ungdomar-i-halland/) and a patient survey as part of our development work.

Ward 62 is a unit with eleven beds focused on pediatric medicine, surgery, and orthopedics. Ward 63 is an infectious disease unit with eleven beds focusing on infectious diseases as well as ear, nose, and throat. The wards have play therapy and a hospital school. In this position, you will work on both Ward 62 and Ward 63.

If you are interested and would like to gain insight into what it means to work on a pediatric and adolescent ward, you are welcome to visit the wards or shadow us for a day.

About you

We are looking for a licensed nurse who is interested in working in pediatric healthcare. Specialist training in pediatric and adolescent care is an advantage.

You have good communication skills and see it as a given to meet patients, their families, and colleagues in the best possible way. You work with children and adolescents at the center and involve the entire family. We also value that you are confident in your professional role, possess an empathetic ability, and find it easy to collaborate across professions.
