Care for People with Disabilities

In our care services, we assist individuals with various disabilities.

We work to facilitate and support our clients in managing their daily practicalities. The goal is for them to achieve as independent a life as possible. Working as a personal assistant means making a difference in another person's life every day.

For this position, we are looking for someone who wants to work with a communicative and humorous woman living in Visby, who needs help and support in her daily life.

Your Responsibilities

Working as a personal assistant is a fun and varied job where you, together with the client, perform activities both inside and outside the home based on their wishes, such as shopping, social events, or other interests of the client.

You will also assist with personal care, handling aids, and personal hygiene, including intimate hygiene.

Good physical fitness is preferred as there are physically demanding tasks involved. You will work in the home of the client(s) who have been granted personal assistance according to LSS (Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons) and SFB (Social Insurance Code).

Working hours are Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 11:30 and 13:00 to 18:30 with a break in between.

Who Are You?

We prefer that you have some form of pedagogical training and/or care training. It is an advantage if you have previously worked as a personal assistant or in care for people with disabilities, in childcare, or in healthcare. A driver's license is a requirement.

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and has a genuine interest in working with people. You are confident in yourself and can distinguish between the personal and professional. You have a good understanding of people's different circumstances and the ability to quickly change your approach and adapt to different situations.

You also need to have good collaboration skills, sound judgment, and be good at communicating. It is important that you are proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as all communication and documentation is conducted in Swedish.

A probationary period will be applied.
