Smedbyhof is a relatively new residence where we have a total of 40 places evenly distributed between somatic and dementia care. We have a garden profile and strive to have as much activity as possible outdoors and related to the garden.

We are now looking for a nurse for 80-100% daytime work Monday to Friday.

At Smedbyhof, there are 2 nursing responsible nurses, thus having nursing responsibility for 20 residents. Our nurse in somatic care is moving on to new exciting challenges, so now we are looking for someone who is passionate about making things as good as possible for our elderly. You should enjoy being a present nurse for your residents and nursing assistants, and you need to be structured and able to plan your work.

What we offer you Well-being time where you have 37 hours/year to use in a way that facilitates your life. You may need to go to the hairdresser, go to the gym, or other activities where balancing life is challenging. Then the well-being time can help make it easier for you.

Job Responsibilities In the role of nurse, you, together with other nurses, are responsible for ensuring and leading health and medical care efforts, and you do this in close collaboration with rehab and our nursing staff. You contribute to ensuring that those who move in or already live at Smedbyhof feel secure with the care and support we provide, and together with your colleagues, you support our residents to continue being who they are.

Working together to ensure that the care and support we provide truly comes from the person and that the resident is given the opportunity to participate.

At Kavat Vård, we run a care and nursing home that we ourselves would choose. For us, it is important that you wholeheartedly share our view of our residents, that we are here for them and not the other way around. You also share Kavat's values of being curious, brave, and reliable, which give us direction for how we want to be towards each other as well as towards residents and relatives.

Qualifications You are a licensed nurse with several years of experience in elderly care. If you have further education in elderly care, dementia, or palliative care, it is a merit.

If you have worked in elderly care and home healthcare, that is a big plus. Additional formal qualifications such as further education in dementia care or elderly care are meritorious.

You are brave and willing to try new working methods and challenge yourself. You are curious and want to get to know the residents and care about their ability to continue deciding how they want to live their lives. You are reliable and always keep your promises.

You have the ability to communicate with your colleagues for the best of the organization. You see opportunities instead of obstacles. Your personal qualities are important to us.

Vaccination Requirements Employees hired at Kavat Vård must be vaccinated against Covid

To protect our elderly and other risk groups, you need to be Covid vaccinated. We will ask to see your Covid certificate at the interview.

Background Checks We conduct background checks on all individuals before employment is offered.
