The Physiotherapy Clinic at Mälarsjukhuset provides rehabilitation in both outpatient and inpatient care. We are now looking for a physiotherapist for the orthopedic department, which is one of our inpatient care departments. Working in inpatient care is rewarding but can also be demanding as we are an important piece in the discharge process. The physiotherapist group operates from shared facilities with occupational therapists and rehabilitation assistants, ensuring that colleagues are always nearby for questions, reflection, support, or assistance in daily tasks.

Your tasks

As soon as a patient is admitted to the ward, the discharge process begins. Sometimes only medical needs need to be addressed, but often a physiotherapeutic assessment and intervention are also required. You will work from our facilities where paramedicine inpatient care is centralized, but your base placement will be in the orthopedic department where you will meet patients to assess their need for rehabilitation interventions and assistive devices.

You will work independently and take responsibility for your tasks in a structured manner. At the same time, you will collaborate closely with occupational therapists, rehabilitation assistants, the department team, patients and their relatives, as well as other healthcare providers. We support each other across departmental boundaries within what are called coverage groups, which means you will have the opportunity to gain insight and experience working in other departments than the one where you are based. In coverage group 2, which includes the Orthopedic department, there are also the Surgical department, AVA, Women’s department, and Children’s department.

Your qualifications

You are a licensed physiotherapist. Since home visits may occur, a valid driver's license (B) is desirable. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment form

Permanent employment with start date by agreement.
