About the Position

As a CNC operator, you will work with maintenance and turning of train wheels, using older CNC-controlled lathes. The main task is to ensure that the wheels are processed to the correct dimensions and that the work meets the safety requirements found in the railway industry. If necessary, you will make adjustments in the programs to ensure correct measurements and tolerances. Quality checks are performed to ensure that the wheels meet the required standards. There may also be simpler maintenance and troubleshooting of the machine.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with experience working as a CNC operator, preferably with older CNC machines and metal components. We also expect you to have experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, as well as experience in measurement and quality control. As a person, you are meticulous and responsible with a technical interest and good problem-solving skills. You thrive in a production environment and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

• CNC education
• Experience in turning
• Overhead crane license

Desirable:

• Experience working with older CNC machines
• Forklift license

This position is a consultancy assignment for 6 months.
