JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for two special educators to complement our team of various competencies within the student health team at Birgittaskolan and Åsbackaskolan.

Your main responsibilities will be to provide support from a special educational perspective to students, staff, and maintain close collaboration with guardians and networks around the student. Educational assessment, guidance, and adjustments in the learning environment are also part of your responsibilities.

You will also be responsible for preventive and health-promoting work and support students' development towards knowledge goals.

Together with other staff members, you will be responsible for promoting a positive collaborative climate in student health and school operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

You must have a degree in special education.

The job also requires that you:

  • have a good ability to work in teams and individually, the ability to develop new contacts, and that you can work in a structured manner and deliver on time.
  • are well acquainted with the regulations regarding special support and additional adjustments.

A prerequisite for you to be able to work with us is that you can use Swedish sign language or are very interested in learning it, as our sign language environment is very important.

You should have competence in IT in learning (making adjustments and the ability to implement).

It is an advantage if you have:

  • experience working with students who are deaf or have hearing impairments.
  • experience meeting other cultures.
  • experience in mapping work.
  • experience working with students with NPF.
  • experience working in adapted primary school and being familiar with the curricula and syllabi within that school form.

There is also student accommodation for certain students at the school, thus requiring collaboration skills with both staff at the student accommodation and with other professionals connected to the student's school day.

OTHER

A probationary period of 6 months applies.

A criminal record extract must be presented before employment.

In the event of a societal crisis, you may be directed to work between the agency's areas of operation based on your placement.
