Our Operations

As of 2022, eye diseases are included as a section in the Neuro department. At the eye disease section at Akademiska sjukhuset, we provide eye care with a large share of highly specialized services. The eye section consists of an inpatient department, an outpatient unit, and an eye surgery department that includes day surgery as well as central surgical services. The section conducts diagnostics and medical and surgical treatment of both acute and chronic, congenital as well as acquired, eye diseases and injuries.

We are looking for

We are looking for a senior physician/assistant senior physician/specialist physician in the field of eye diseases with a focus on pediatric ophthalmology.

Your Qualifications

You who apply are a licensed physician with specialist competence in eye diseases and experience in pediatric ophthalmology. To thrive in this role, it is important that you have an interest in participating in the development of the operations, research in the field, as well as mentoring and educating (etc.). You have good pedagogical skills. We value that you are easy to collaborate with, are attentive, and have good communication skills. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Additional Meritorious Competencies:

• Strabismus surgery
• Experience with ROP screening
• Experience with ERG interpretation
• Research background
• Approved specialist exam
