The Markverkstäderna (MvE) is a unit within the Swedish Armed Forces Technical School (FMTS), which performs maintenance on the Armed Forces' ground equipment, air base equipment, and provides technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of inspections, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scrapping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptations, and material investigations. The Markverkstad unit delivers services according to customer requirements.

You will belong to Markverkstad Syd, which operates in Revingehed, Ronneby, Karlskrona, and Tofta, with approximately 130 employees.

Main Responsibilities

We are now looking for technicians for the special detail in Revingehed, where the main responsibilities will be to perform service and maintenance on various equipment used within the Armed Forces, e.g., basic materials, containers, tools, passenger cars, and generators. The work also involves preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as modification and decommissioning of equipment. We will offer internal training on systems and materials as we work with unique products.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• At least completed and finished two- or three-year high school with a focus on technology or equivalent, or alternative competencies acquired through work experience deemed equivalent by the employer
• Experience in similar work
• Computer proficiency with knowledge of the MS Office suite, primarily Word and Excel
• Good knowledge of technology and troubleshooting.
• Driver's license B

You are flexible and can easily shift your focus and adapt in a changing environment. Meritorious

• Refrigeration certificate
• Electrical background
• Previous experience and knowledge of workshop operations and equipment maintenance in the Armed Forces
• Familiarity with the Armed Forces and its systems

Other

Employment form: permanent employment starting with a 6-month probationary period
Employment rate: full-time, daytime – varying working hours may occur

The work also requires travel and service, both domestically and internationally.
The position is a civilian position.

The Swedish Armed Forces Technical School (FMTS), headquartered in Halmstad, is a logistics unit where technology is at the center.
