We are expanding our 24-hour care for children and adolescents at Danderyd Hospital

The Stockholm Center for Eating Disorders (SCÄ) is one of the largest specialist clinics in the world for patients with eating disorders and receives patients of all ages. We have a well-developed operation with outpatient care, day care, and 24-hour care for both adults, children, and adolescents. Today we have about 250 employees, we have expanded significantly during 2024 and will continue to do so in 2025. From March 2025, all three of our 24-hour care departments will be located at Danderyd Hospital while outpatient care remains in Södermalm, Stockholm.

24-hour care for children and adolescents has space for 12 families with a treatment period of 6-10 weeks. Family work is a central role in the treatment where parents are strengthened in their parenting role and gain increased knowledge about the eating disorder. Parents are present with their children throughout the treatment period. Here, you work closely in a team with nurses, nursing assistants, psychiatrists, dietitians, and social workers. FBT plays a very central role in the treatment.
