The Parks and Nature operation is part of the Community Building administration and is responsible for developing, establishing, and maintaining the municipality's green environments. This includes parks, playgrounds, urban forests, street trees, and other green structures – as well as the municipality's own greenhouse facility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of our team, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of parks, green areas, and facilities. Your tasks may include everything from mowing and planting to watering and weeding. The work is varied, but depending on needs, some tasks may be more focused, such as primarily working with weeding.

This job is suitable for you if you enjoy working outdoors and do not hesitate in the face of physical challenges, whether it is bright sunshine or persistent rain. If you appreciate an active workday with practical tasks, this is an opportunity for you!

Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

QUALIFICATIONS

We primarily welcome applicants who are 18 years old and have a driver's license, but we also welcome those who are 17 years old or do not have a driver's license, provided you have an AM license. It is an advantage if you have experience or education in gardening or parks. To work as a park worker, you need to be able to communicate fluently in Swedish or English.

The work is physical and takes place outdoors in all weather, which requires you to have good physical conditions and enjoy an active everyday life.

As a person, you are responsible and enjoy collaborating with others. You spread positive energy and thrive in a service profession where flexibility and good customer service are important. Your solution-oriented attitude and good communication skills make you a valued colleague.

The Community Building department ensures that streets and squares, communities, and residential areas function as well as possible for everyone who lives and works here.
