We do things our way and are now looking for a new Key Account Manager – or as we call it, a Business Opportunity Manager (BOM). A person who is not only driven by business but also by building and developing long-term customer relationships, exceeding set goals, and constantly evolving in their professional life.

What does a Business Opportunity Manager do at Steam Hotel?

As a BOM, you have overall responsibility for developing and managing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. Your focus will be on large and complex Meetings & Events, and you will spend a lot of time in contact with customers through tours, meetings, and calls – all to create business and strengthen our long-term customer relationships. You will also hold customer events and engage in Social Selling, for example via LinkedIn.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Getting both existing and potential customers to choose our destinations for their meetings and events.
  • Owning the business from needs analysis to ensuring that the business fits both the customer and Steam Hotel.
  • Working with large and complex deals and ensuring they are as successful as possible.
  • Being responsible for and developing a customer portfolio to drive growth.
  • Working towards ambitious goals and being driven to achieve and exceed them.
  • Being creative, flexible, and always ready to go the extra mile for our customers.
  • Building long-term relationships and creating repeat guests.

You will work at Steam Hotel and report to Johannes, Commercial Manager. At the same time, you will be part of a dynamic team at ESS Sales, where you will collaborate with other Business Opportunity Managers, Client Success Agents, and other colleagues in sales.

About you:

  • You have an established network within the business community in Västerås/Stockholm and preferably experience from the hotel, experience, or event industry.
  • You are analytical and have the ability to understand and calculate business to ensure they are as good as possible.
  • You are social, love creating memorable experiences with customers, and build long-term relationships.
  • You have a high drive and strong inner motivation, seeing change and development as a natural part of your work style.
  • You thrive on working towards high goals and are driven to win business.
  • You are self-sufficient but also enjoy being part of a team where we celebrate both individual and collective successes.
  • You always strive to develop both yourself and the customer experience.
  • You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in both Swedish and English, in both speech and writing.

About the position

Application deadline 31/3-2025.

Start date & Salary: Desired start in April/May 2025/ as soon as possible. Salary according to agreement. Collective agreement between Unionen and Visita.
