The opportunity
We are looking for a Tender and Sales Support Manager for Renewables and Utility Applications to be part of an international team, in our Global Center of Competence for Power Quality in Sweden. In this central role you will translate customer needs and challenges into competitive and attractive offers. This is done in close co-operation with partners and other Hitachi Energy teams. At the same time, you support business development and sales by driving the Power Quality teams and funneling the important knowledge they possess to our colleagues around the world. You will work with projects in many different geographies with the possibility to influence where we focus our efforts and drive impactful results.

How you’ll make an impact
- You have a key role as team lead for your tender teams where you will coach, motivate and develop colleagues and drive know-how sharing and cross-collaboration
- Define key targets and ensure these are achieved while forming and driving a tender strategy
- Oversee the preparation of proposals through internal and external resources
- Ensure most competitive offers, taking into account the market situation and customer’s conditions. Identify which approach (e.g. direct sales, consortium, or channel) can be applied to better serve the customer
- Oversee the validation of terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, pricing) in each offer
- Assign and allocate internal and external resources for technical and commercial support and proposal preparation
- Supports bid/no bid analyses and decisions. Participate and/or drive the project risk review processes
- Support the Sales organizations during the sales phase with meetings, product presentations and negotiations with customers and provide technical support and clarification as needed
- Ensure all proposals follow relevant Hitachi Energy’s procedures and guidelines as well as legal requirements
Your background
We are looking for a driven, dedicated and service-minded person who can work both independently and as well in a team.
- You have good communication, negotiation and presentation skills, and are open to global collaboration
- You have as a minimum a Bachelor degree or equivalent
- Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
- Your ability to work independently as well as in a team collaborating with others.
- Experience with working in project related business
- Experience with working in complex tenders
- Experience with cost calculations and Full Cost Models
- Used to take ownership of assigned tasks
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal is required, Swedish is a merit but not a must, other languages is a plus as we work across the globe
