Your future role with us

At Alstom in Luleå, you will work together in a group with competent and dedicated colleagues who will help you integrate into the work and team in the best way.

With us, we maintain both locomotives and carriages of various models, check traffic safety, and address any faults/damages on them.

The tasks are very varied as we perform everything from electrical troubleshooting and testing of various functions to replacing everything from push buttons to wheels on both carriages and locomotives.

Some examples of what your tasks may include:

  • Electrical work – troubleshooting using documentation, installation/replacement of equipment, etc.
  • Mechanical work – wheel replacements, pneumatic troubleshooting, window replacements, etc.
  • Interior work on carriages – repairing furnishings, etc.
  • Ensure trains are traffic safe

Qualifications for the Position:

  • Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Pass a medical health examination, which will be arranged by Alstom.

Preferred qualifications if you have:

  • Education or experience in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and troubleshooting
  • Experience in assembling electrical and mechanical components according to drawings and instructions
  • Familiarity with the railway industry
  • Basic computer skills (Office suite, SAP, etc.)
  • Good command of English

We work shifts, and the position is at our depot in Luleå.
