At the Adult Unit in Ystad Municipality, cases concerning individuals over 18 years of age regarding substance and gambling addiction, domestic violence, housing issues, family problems, social psychiatric issues, and crime are handled. The Adult Unit also includes the municipal staff working at Maria Skåne Sydost, which is jointly operated by Region Skåne and the municipalities of Ystad, Tomelilla, Sjöbo, and Simrishamn.
The Adult Unit is now preparing for the transition to the new social services law, where accessibility, preventive work, knowledge-based social services with high quality, and focusing on needs rather than target groups are some of the cornerstones. We are now looking for a permanent social worker and a temporary social worker (6 months) for the Adult Unit. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The social worker, as well as the temporary social worker we are looking for, will primarily investigate cases concerning addiction/dependency, but if necessary, investigations of other issues, such as domestic violence, may also occur.
The investigative work involves meeting individuals, primarily with substance use and/or gambling addiction, and gathering information to assess whether the individual is entitled to the requested assistance. Upon decision regarding intervention, you will establish a care plan and subsequently follow up on the progress of the treatment. In addition to investigating according to SoL, you will also investigate according to LVM.
Many of the individuals seeking support for addiction/dependency also have other types of issues. Therefore, the work as a social worker largely involves collaboration/coordination with other units within the municipality as well as with psychiatry.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience in investigative work according to SoL, related to addiction/dependency, as well as according to LVM. You need to be trained in ASI and it is desirable that you are trained in FREDA.
It is important that you have good and clear communication skills in both spoken and written form. You need to have a salutogenic and professional approach that demonstrates your respect, responsiveness, and empathy for the people you meet in your work, as well as for the individual's needs and resources. As a person, you are curious, engaged, driven, creative, and solution-oriented.
In the position of social worker, you need to have good collaboration skills, be structured, meticulous, and able to independently plan and execute your work, but you also need to be a team player. As a person, you are flexible and can adapt when the situation requires it and work under time pressure. Given the upcoming changes in legislation, as well as the fact that society and its citizens are changing, you need to be open to the fact that tasks may change to meet the needs of the organization and the citizens.
