Activity Coordinator for LGBTQI+ Activities in Norrbotten

Do you want to help create safe and inclusive meeting places for LGBTQI+ individuals in Norrbotten? RFSL Luleå and northern Norrbotten are now looking for an engaged activity coordinator who wants to contribute to our work by planning and executing activities for our members.
We welcome all applicants but prioritize experiences from LGBTQI+ individuals.
Location: The position is based in Luleå with the entire Norrbotten region as the work area.
Employment type: Project employment until December 31, 2025
Scope: Full-time
About the role
As an activity coordinator, you will create, plan, and execute meetings for the association's members throughout Norrbotten. This is a creative position where you will have a lot of responsibility.
You will primarily work on two projects:
- The Newcomers/AMIF project, where you, together with our coordinator, create meeting places for asylum-seeking LGBTQI+ individuals, one of the association's largest and most important activities.
- Counteracting involuntary loneliness by creating various meeting places for our prioritized target groups: asylum-seeking LGBTQI+ individuals, youth, transgender individuals, and seniors.
You will also participate in the association's other activities and work closely with your colleagues on projects such as member meetings, pride celebrations, educational activities, HIV prevention work, and meetings for different target groups.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is driven, independent, and passionate about creating inclusive meeting places for LGBTQI+ individuals. We prefer that you have experience in social work, but the most important thing is that you have a strong commitment to our work and share our values.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with LGBTQI+ issues (preferable, but not a requirement).
- Experience working with newcomers or newly established individuals (preferable).
- Experience in social work (preferable).
- Good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form (requirement).
- Driver's license (requirement).
- A strong desire to work with LGBTQI+ issues and share our values (requirement).
