We have approximately 600 employees and offices in Malmö and Kristianstad.

The County Administrative Board is looking for one to two facility managers for the nature conservation unit in the Department of Nature and Water. Your workplace will be at our office in Stenshuvud National Park. The employment will last through the summer peak season, from June to August, and is full-time. Scheduled weekend work is included. Start date is negotiable.

Stenshuvud is located in Österlen, near Kivik, and is Sweden's southernmost national park as well as one of the richest and most diverse national parks. The area and its nature attract up to half a million visitors annually, which places high demands on facilities, service, and information. The national park management is responsible for the maintenance of land and outdoor facilities, such as rest areas and hiking trails. Naturum Stenshuvud has overall responsibility for nature information in the area. Here, visitors gain knowledge and engagement for the valuable nature, as well as tips on attractions and hiking suggestions. Our goal is to spark visitors' interest in nature and to be the obvious place for meeting people who want to know more about nature, outdoor life, and environmental issues. Our guiding principles are "accessible, inspiring, and welcoming." The County Administrative Board of Skåne manages both the national park and the naturum.

Job Responsibilities

As a facility manager at Stenshuvud, you will be part of the management group and will work with the following tasks:

• Maintenance of rest areas (tables and benches, barbecue areas, waste stations, toilet buildings, grass and shrub clearing, and information materials).
• Cleaning (emptying bins, litter picking, cleaning toilets and shelters).
• Trail maintenance (including signage, bridges, ramps, boardwalks, trimming vegetation).
• Maintenance of grazing fences (including clearing vegetation and possible repairs).
• Supervision and maintenance of information boards and signs.
• Supervision regarding compliance with regulations.

Some nature conservation maintenance may be included in the position, such as participation in mowing.

We are looking for someone with good knowledge of Sweden's nature, experience in nature and facility management, and who is practically inclined. You must be proficient in Swedish and English. A B driver's license is required.

Security Classification

The County Administrative Board has an important coordinating role during societal disturbances, and therefore we place high demands on our employees' security and confidentiality awareness. Some of our positions are security classified and may also involve a military placement at the authority, which means that a security review must be conducted before a hiring decision is made. In some cases, Swedish citizenship is required in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
