ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Cloud Engineer at KGK, you will play a central role in developing their cloud infrastructure and contribute to building a modern platform for developers. You will work with both cloud solutions (Azure) and code, and in the long term, be involved in developing the platform to support future projects. This is a consulting assignment via Academic Work, but for the right person, there is an opportunity to be permanently hired by KGK in the long run.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure in Azure
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform
• Write code to develop and improve the platform (primarily C#)
• Work closely with your team to design scalable and efficient solutions

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has at least 2 years of experience working with cloud solutions, Azure or AWS
• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code
• Has a background in software development and documented experience in coding (the language is less relevant, but C# is their stack)
• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps (KGK uses GitHub)
• Is proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious

• Experience with local data centers (SAN, VMware clusters, etc.) and hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of enterprise networks and on-prem Active Directory.
• Insight into storage migration and cloud adoption strategies.
• Understanding of the challenges and opportunities of transitioning from traditional on-prem infrastructure to a modern cloud platform.

Knowledge can be acquired through education, experience, or being self-taught.
