This is your mission
As a tactical analyst at the Security Police, you are part of a group of competent and dedicated employees. You work independently and together with your colleagues to analyze threats, vulnerabilities, and assets within the agency's areas of operation.
You gather, structure, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from various types of sources. You communicate your analyses in writing or orally in various contexts to recipients, such as colleagues, management, and our external partners. With sometimes short timeframes and occasionally lacking data, you assist with decision-making grounds for the direction of the Security Police's operational work.
Analysts at the Security Police work in different time scales and at different aggregation levels. Tactical analysts primarily work with current events and cases where the time perspective in assessments ranges from a few days up to a month. The analyses aim, among other things, to protect the central government leadership at a given time or to reduce an imminent threat.
Your role includes participating in method and operational development work within information management and intelligence analysis, which is continuously conducted at the agency.
Your placement is at the headquarters in Solna, and the work is performed on-site, which means you do not have the opportunity to work remotely. Travel within and outside Sweden may occur.
The qualifications we seek from you
Only those who meet the following requirements will be considered for the position.
Requirements:
- Academic degree, police degree, or other education that the Security Police deems equivalent
- At least two years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of intelligence or analytical work
- Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good ability to communicate in spoken English
The position requires Swedish citizenship.
As an applicant, you may also have competencies that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with any or several of the following, it is meritorious:
- Education or work experience in intelligence analysis
- Good subject knowledge relevant to any of the Security Police's areas of operation
- Experience in conducting analyses regarding threats, vulnerabilities, and assets
- Good ability to present complex information or analyses concisely and tailored to the audience, both orally and in writing
- Good knowledge and experience in method and development work
- Experience in analytical work related to law enforcement, intelligence operations, total defense, and crisis preparedness

The Security Police has high demands for security and confidentiality, so we expect you to have a high security awareness.
Employment conditions
Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as employment with the Security Police involves placement in a security class. Employment also requires a satisfactory result in the security screening with a background check, which is conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
This is a permanent position that starts with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in wartime.
