Aschanska Gården is an intact preserved merchant home from the turn of the last century. The Aschan family lived and worked here from 1831 until the 1960s. When the youngest sibling passed away in 1984, the estate was transferred to a foundation. The Aschanska Gården Foundation is now seeking a guide for summer tours. The home is shown twice daily during the period from June 20 to August 20. One tour is in English as needed, the other in Swedish. The job also includes basic maintenance and cleaning. The position is a part-time job with approximately 20 hours/week, mainly on weekdays.

QUALIFICATIONS

Language Skills

The applicant should have a good vocabulary and be able to express themselves verbally without problems in both Swedish and English.

Education

The applicant is preferred to have studied ethnology, art history, or history, but this is not a requirement.

Experience

It is an advantage if the applicant has previously worked as a guide or in other exhibition activities.
