We now have the opportunity to welcome a medical secretary colleague with a focus on surgical planning and inpatient care to the obstetrics and gynecology unit.

The obstetrics and gynecology unit has a broad operation with patients of all ages. Today, we are about 180 employees in the field. The obstetric inpatient care includes delivery services with nearly 1,750 deliveries per year. Our maternity ward has 17 beds, where we care for postpartum women and women with complications during their pregnancy and delivery. We take care of delivery patients from a pregnancy length of week 28. At one of our clinics, we have a well-developed ultrasound service that is part of our daily operations.

Our gynecological services also include outpatient services in general gynecology, urogynecology, bleeding disorders, endocrinology, infertility, abortion services, and contraception. Both outpatient and inpatient surgical care is provided here. We have a department with 18 beds where gynecological, surgical, and ear, nose, and throat patients are cared for.

The Central Hospital in Kristianstad (CSK) is the emergency hospital for northeastern Skåne. Emergency care is provided around the clock by qualified staff, with about 2,600 dedicated employees. CSK has the resources of a large hospital and the proximity and community of a smaller hospital. The hospital offers residents in the catchment area care with short waiting times in all specialties.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a recognized education in health and medical care administration, 80p KY or 400p YH, or equivalent approved medical secretary training. You have good knowledge of medical terminology and master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing. Previous experience with Orbit, Pasis, and Melior is an advantage as we currently work in these systems. Previous experience in departmental work is also advantageous. A good knowledge of IT systems and digitalization is seen as a merit for the future as we gradually transition to a paperless working method.
