We are currently seeking a nurse for a part-time position in Ward 130/PIVA, Psychiatry Northwest at Danderyd Hospital. In Ward 130/PIVA, we provide acute psychiatric care for patients aged 18 and older. We have 16 beds, of which six are designated for psychiatric intensive care and the remaining ten are for psychosis care.

Responsibilities

The area of work within psychiatric inpatient care is exciting, broad, and varied. As a nurse, you are expected to lead the nursing work around our patients, which means planning and executing nursing interventions. You will participate in rounds with doctors and other staff, as well as perform standard nursing tasks such as venipuncture, medication management, and documentation. We use Take Care as our documentation system. Your responsibilities also include support conversations with patients and coordination with other caregivers, municipalities, and relatives.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse with a strong interest in psychiatry. Previous experience in psychiatric care and/or specialized training in psychiatry is considered an advantage but is not a requirement. We expect you to be flexible in how you prioritize, plan, and execute your tasks, and that you can quickly adapt to changing circumstances. You should be confident in your leadership role and delegate tasks in a clear and fair manner. Since we often work in a fast-paced environment, you must be able to collaborate and communicate with your colleagues, even in stressful situations. We often care for severely ill patients, so it is important that you as a nurse are calm, secure, and attentive to the patient's needs. You enjoy working closely with patients in their care and can work independently while also appreciating collaboration with other professional categories to provide the best possible care for the patient. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Psychiatry Northwest is a university clinic in the northwestern part of Stockholm County's healthcare area (SLSO) with approximately 550 employees.
