Occupational Therapist to Haninge Municipality

Do you have ideas for the future and are you driven by challenges? In Haninge, you will develop alongside supportive colleagues who want to make a difference today. One of the most ambitious transformation efforts in our municipality's history is currently underway. We are building a new city, about 20 minutes from Söder. Join us on our journey.

Do you want to be part of our development journey to become an accessible, visible, and knowledge-based social service with a preventive approach? With us at the social and elderly care administration, you will contribute to future-proofing social services. We work based on the needs of our target groups within individual and family care, disability care, and elderly care, so that residents in Haninge can live an independent life. We focus on results and what creates value for those we serve. Welcome to us!

Description of the Organization

Haninge Municipality operates six care and nursing homes under its own management; Hagagården, Vallagården, Ros-Anders gård, Johanneslund, Malmgården, and Terrassen.

The operations have varying focuses including somatic care, dementia care, and short-term care, collectively encompassing approximately 350 care places.

The work within the department is characterized by modern working methods, high competence, and the use of the latest welfare technology. We work with the individual in focus - the elderly should thrive with us and feel that their individual needs are met in an environment characterized by community, safety, and warmth.

All operations have close collaboration and a common platform with overarching routines and working methods. Staffing is coordinated continuously between the operations based on current resources and needs.

Welcome to develop with us!

Your Assignment

We are now looking for you who want new challenges and share our view that activities are a part of the elderly's everyday life!

Your tasks include working together with other professionals with the resident in focus. For us, it is important that the individual's needs are at the center, and this permeates our working methods. You motivate and support residents to maintain and develop their abilities and guide staff in rehabilitative efforts. You work closely with care staff and initiate and support them in offering an active everyday life for the elderly. The assignment also includes regular tasks such as prescribing aids and conducting ADL assessments.

You will be part of a team with care staff, group leaders, nurses, physiotherapists, other occupational therapists, and relevant team members based on their respective professions. As an occupational therapist, you can largely control how you organize your workday and be involved in developing the operations.

Your work is based in our care and nursing homes in the municipality.

What We Are Looking For in You

  • You are a licensed occupational therapist, confident in your professional role, and preferably have previous experience in elderly care. Documented specialist competence in elderly care, dementia, or palliative care is an advantage.
  • You enjoy working in teams and are positive about change and development work.
  • You are proactive, flexible, and see opportunities rather than obstacles.
  • You have excellent communication skills, both in meetings with people and in writing.
  • You have digital competence and an interest in implementing new solutions.
  • We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
  • A valid driver's license (B) is an advantage.

As a person, you have a commitment to working with the elderly and understand the importance of having good collaboration with colleagues. You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships with residents, relatives, and colleagues. You are responsible, self-driven, and can adapt your working methods to the situation.

What We Can Offer You

As an occupational therapist with us, you will work with experienced colleagues from various professions. You will collaborate with other colleagues in the municipality.

Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday during the day. We offer free access to the gym in the municipal building and wellness benefits.

Welcome with your application!

In this recruitment, we have already made our choices of advertising channels and partners. We kindly but firmly decline any assistance with recruitment from external actors.

Haninge Municipality sees diversity as a strength and welcomes all applicants. Our competence-based recruitment methodology aims to focus on the individual's competence and thereby also counteract discrimination.
