About Swedegg

Swedegg is involved in pullet breeding and egg production. We are a family-owned business run by siblings Malin and Alex, along with about 30 employees across several farms in Skåne and Östergötland. Since 2024, we have been packing most of our eggs ourselves directly on the farm and delivering them through our own drivers to stores and wholesalers under the brand “Direct from the Farmer”. We produce eggs from free-range hens indoors and free-range hens outdoors.

Swedegg is in a development phase, making investments to continue improving animal welfare as well as technical equipment and robotization of the packing facility. Therefore, we are now looking for a new team member to help manage the operations of our farm in Östergötland.

About the position

As the Production Manager at Swedegg, you will be responsible for the daily operations of staff, animals, and the egg packing facility. The animals, technology, animal caretakers, the packing facility, and drivers need support, and you will be the spider in the web.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading animal caretakers and packing workers through the daily operations on the farm
• Creating good routines for production and the packing facility
• Ensuring compliance with self-monitoring programs
• Production and packing results, from hen to customer
• Inventory and logistics, keeping track of traceability and other legal requirements in the packing operation
• Ensuring compliance with workplace safety, animal protection, certifications, and various policies
• Scheduling

Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 07:00 to 16:00, with weekend work possible.
We offer a full-time position with a monthly salary.

About you

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications/experience/education:

• Experience in the agricultural sector
• Driven team leader with several years of experience leading staff, who sees themselves as part of the team
• Valid B driver's license required, C driver's license highly meritorious
• Experience with farm animals
• Knowledge of HACCP
• Forklift license, front loader, tail lift
• Good technical and mechanical skills
• Approved high school education, preferably with an agricultural or food focus

To succeed in this role, you are driven, positive, and hands-on. You enjoy managing many complex tasks simultaneously and appreciate being involved in everything that happens. You are the person the team can rely on. Therefore, you need to be a calm and stable individual with clear leadership skills, comfortable delegating tasks and guiding your team members.
