Description

Are you an experienced leader with a solid background in technical and industrial operations? We are looking for a Department Manager for our client in Södertälje who wants to take responsibility for driving and developing a department focused on profitability, employee development, and long-term customer relationships.

In this central role, you will play a key part in developing the business, leading a competent team, and ensuring successful projects through close collaboration with both customers and employees. As a Department Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the department's profitability and ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with the company's administrative guidelines, as well as current procedures for work environment and safety.

Your role also involves ensuring the right skills and staffing to achieve business goals and create an efficient and motivated work environment.

Responsibilities

As a Department Manager, you will:

  • Drive the department towards set goals for profitability and employee development.
  • Take financial responsibility for the department, including calculations, bids, and service agreements.
  • Build and develop relationships with both existing and new customers.
  • Develop the business around service commitments and pricing models.
  • Ensure that the department has the right skills and staffing, and lead recruitment processes.
  • Contribute to the development of local business and customer plans based on the company's overall strategies and goals.
  • Be responsible for the work environment and safety according to delegation, and follow the work environment handbook.
  • Conduct development and salary discussions and be responsible for salary setting.
  • Be responsible for a team of 8 people, which is planned to double as the department develops.

Travel is included in the position, mainly day trips to projects, but overnight stays may also occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Engineering degree;
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar managerial role within the industry.
  • Basic knowledge of construction law;
  • Experience with service commitments and project management within mechanics and automation;
  • Experience in operations that manage projects with calculations and design within mechanics and automation;
  • Fluent Swedish in speech and writing and good communication skills in English;
  • Driver's license (B);
  • Good computer skills (Office package).

Conditions

  • Location: Based at the office in Södertälje with travel according to the needs of the position.
  • Employment rate: Full-time.
  • The employment is permanent with direct employment with the Client.
