Swedish National Defense Historical Museums (SFHM)

SFHM is a government agency under the Ministry of Culture tasked with spreading knowledge about the Swedish defense throughout history and its role in societal development. The agency consists of the Air Force Museum and the Army Museum, a department for operational support, and the Defense Tradition Committee. Air Force Museum

The Air Force Museum is a modern technology and cultural history museum that reflects the development of Swedish military aviation from the pioneer era to the present day. The museum's responsibilities include preservation, communication, and knowledge building about Swedish military aviation. About 30 people work at the Air Force Museum, plus part-time staff. Job Responsibilities

You will be the property manager for the Air Force Museum's properties and work closely with our operations technician and other functions at the museum. Together with the operations technician, you will oversee, maintain, and care for the museum's premises and grounds both collaboratively and independently. Your tasks include service in the museum's premises such as changing light sources, recycling, and setting up for conferences and program activities. You will also ensure that the area is clean and tidy both indoors and outdoors.

Your Educational Background

You should have:

  • High school diploma or vocational education with a focus on property management or equivalent competence from the real estate sector.
  • Driver's license (B)
  • At least one year of experience working as a caretaker or property manager
  • Ability to express yourself well in Swedish

Meritorious:

  • Training for mobile work platforms
  • Ability to express yourself well in English or another language

Knowledge and Experience

You should have previous experience working as a caretaker or property manager, which means you are well acquainted with what this position entails and can carry out tasks independently.

You are social and like to collaborate with others to find solutions but can also work independently with planning and execution of various tasks. Employment Form and Start Date

The position is a permanent part-time employment at 50% with a 6-month probation period. There may be opportunities for extra shifts. Work is primarily during the day, but evening and weekend work may also occur. Benefits include flexible working hours, additional vacation days, wellness hours, and wellness grants.
