Welcome to one of the world's oldest startup companies! At Husqvarna, we truly have a passion for innovation - and with it, we create new solutions to improve urban and green areas, which are used and loved by many. By constantly challenging ourselves, we have continued to develop and reshape our business for over three centuries (335 years, to be more precise). Our innovative culture is something we create together every day.

Do you want to join us in shaping products from idea to reality? Are you a developer with great technical curiosity? Then you might be our new colleague, where we can continue to develop our battery products for garden and forestry together.

We at Power & Drive Systems Electric Drive SW develop our handheld battery products such as chainsaws, trimmers, and hedge trimmers, from prototype to finished product on the market. Our team consists of versatile developers, motor control experts, requirements analysts, and a technical project manager. The core of what we work on lies in the motor control of BLDC motors, but there is much more to work with around this; especially as we are just at the starting point of developing the next generation software platform. If you are passionate about or want to develop in testing and test automation, there are also many challenges in that area.

In the role of software engineer with us, you will work closely with our products, have many points of contact within Husqvarna, and have a great opportunity to influence both work methods and technology choices. It is a role with collaborations between all our development teams in R&D.

We primarily program in C and are looking for someone with good knowledge and preferably a deep understanding of the language. If you also have experience with Python, Azure DevOps, test automation, and/or an interest in electronics, that is a big plus. We believe you either have a degree in embedded systems or have worked with it. For this role, we expect you to have at least two years of work experience in similar work.

Does this sound exciting? We would love to tell you more. With us, you are not just a colleague; you become an expert who influences and changes. Welcome to a world where technology meets innovation. Together, we shape tomorrow's green, handheld battery products.

We welcome your application! If you have questions about the position, you can contact the recruiting manager Peter Lindsäth at peter.lindsath@husqvarnagroup.com and for questions about the recruitment process, contact recruiter Kristin Sundlo at kristin.sundlo@husqvarnagroup.com

What happens after your application?

We continuously review the applications that come in. If we see you as one of our potential candidates, we will contact you for an interview. In connection with this, you will receive information about the setup for the interview as well as other steps in the process such as further interviews, tests, and reference checks. If you do not proceed in the process, you will be informed of this no later than when we have filled the position.
