We are looking for a Construction Manager for an assignment in Stockholm.

This is a consulting assignment.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

Stockholm County is one of the fastest-growing metropolitan regions in Europe. The county's population is increasing by approximately 40,000 people each year. This creates a demand for more housing and better travel options. Therefore, the subway will be expanded as part of the so-called Stockholm Negotiation with two miles of track and eleven new stations, and the municipalities that will receive new subway lines will build 82,000 new homes. Additionally, depot capacity will be expanded to accommodate the new trains needed as the subway grows. The expansion of the subway is also part of the so-called Sweden Negotiation and includes approximately eight kilometers of track, six new stations, and an additional 48,500 homes.

The investment in the subway is so important for the region's future that the state, Region Stockholm, Järfälla Municipality, Nacka Municipality, Solna City, and Stockholm City have agreed on joint financing for the expansion.

The client is responsible for planning, designing, and building the subway.

The Barkarby project includes the expansion of the existing subway from Akalla to Barkarby with two new stations, Barkarbystaden and Barkarby.

The project is currently in an intensive phase with rock and concrete contracts and simultaneous startup of installation and BEST work. The project has a total budget of nearly 6.9 billion SEK.

The Barkarby project needs to strengthen its organization with a leading concrete construction manager. Responsibilities

• To manage assigned contracts and, where applicable, coordinate adjacent contracts.
• To plan, ensure quality, and execute contracts in accordance with agreements and established plans within the framework of budget, regulatory decisions, contracts, permits, and agreements.
• To perform follow-up and forecasts for the contracts and deliver documented reports.
• To be the client's representative on the construction site.
• To review the contractor's documentation for work preparations and ensure that these meet the specified requirements, designed solutions, and take necessary occupational health and safety considerations.
• To keep risk management within their area of responsibility current and address risks.
• Status reporting to the coordinating construction manager.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of alternatives for technical solutions.
• In consultation with the coordinating construction managers, plan Concrete Construction Manager work to ensure that staffing is present when production is ongoing.

Requirements (NOTE, mandatory)

At least 12 years of experience in construction projects as a construction manager, site manager, or project manager. Holds concrete class 1 certification. Experience from having worked in at least two large construction projects (more than 500 million SEK in project budget) in a role as a construction manager. Both projects must be railway or subway for public transport authorities. Experience from 2 projects with implementation during temporary shutdowns in operations, e.g., summer closures.

Meritorious

At least 7 years of experience as a construction manager in projects involving railway or subway for public transport authorities. At least 7 years of experience working for public clients.
