ABOUT THE JOB

We are now looking for an engaged special education teacher or specialist teacher for the Education Center in Lycksele.

We are the leading education center in Southern Lapland, offering a wide range of upper secondary education, ski gymnasium (NIU), adult education, and adapted schooling for youth and adults. Our vision is to create a driving force for lifelong learning together - brain with heart.

As a special education teacher, you will focus on helping students achieve their goals, both individually and at the group level. This work also includes educational assessments and the ability to guide teachers in special educational interventions. You will work alongside other special education teachers and specialist teachers at the school, as well as with our assistant team. Part of the position is linked to the study hall, which is part of the school's support for students. Other usual tasks associated with the teaching profession are also included in the position. You will also be part of our student health team together with the school nurse, counselor, and career advisor. At the Education Center, we work with the student always in focus, and as a special education teacher, your role is to provide students with the tools to overcome their obstacles.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher with further education in special education. We would prefer that you have subject competence in social studies, but other subjects may also be of interest. Experience in pedagogical work is an advantage.
